In addition to my degrees and certifications, I have indulged my passion for health and wellness for over 10 years in the form of personal experimentation and independent study, with a focus on nutrition since 2017.

Sarah’s Story

I used to feel like food was my best friend. It was my companion in joy and celebration as well as in grief, boredom, and distress. But food also felt like my worst enemy. I was overweight, addicted to sugar, prone to night binges, and I had begun to fear that getting healthy was nothing but a pipe dream.

My whole world changed as I delved deep into learning about the science of fasting and nutrition. As I began to understand the complex physiological systems that create or prevent metabolic illness, I learned why willpower is not the problem and the common “eat less, move more” dietary advice doesn’t work.

The more I learned about nutrition and experimented with my diet, the healthier I became, both in my body as well as in my relationship to food. I no longer felt that food was my best friend, and more importantly I no longer felt that it was my enemy. I unlearned the many arbitrary “food rules” I’d picked up over the years and began eating intuitively, using science-based nutritional advice to guide my experimentation.

I now feel comfortable in my body and empowered around my food choices, and my goal as a nutrition coach is to foster empowerment and sustainable change in others through education & experimentation.

My interest and passion lie in nutrition, but I have also studied Spiritual Psychology, energy healing, and meditative thought practices like the 3 Principles and the Law of Attraction, and my initial interest in health and wellness was in the realm of psychology and spirituality. While I think personal development work is extremely important and beneficial, I believe that we can get immense leverage from our nutrition, which has an effect on both our brains and our bodies, giving us a foundation to feel good physically and mentally so that we can live the lives we dream of.
